SAVE THE ARTISTIC HERITAGE
At the event on 11 April 2018 at Carlo e Camilla in Segheria in Milan the DAW® of SAVE THE ARTISTIC HERITAGE were unveiled, created by Cinello, the first cultural start-up that puts digital at the service of our artistic heritage.
The aim is to safeguard the heritage of Italian museums through DAW® (Digital ArtWorks).
These are limited series in 1:1 scale of the greatest masterpieces in the history of art, certified and impossible to reproduce. They are digital copies authenticated by the museums that hold the originals, and 50 % of the net revenues from their sale will go to support the owner museum.
The high technological content (which is made possible by the company Cinello and its patent) makes the DAW® absolutely impossible to reproduce and guarantees its uniqueness. These digital reproductions offer Italian and international museums the extraordinary possibility of organizing impossible exhibitions with works that are immovable from their original position.
Behind the project are two entrepreneurs with years of experience in the digital field in Silicon Valley, John Blem from Denmark and Franco Losi from Italy, while the association’s Honorary President is Mario Cristiani, one of the three founders of the famous contemporary art gallery Continua in San Gimignano.
The Uffizi Galleries in Florence, Monumental Complex of Pilotta in Parma, Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice, Pinacoteca di Brera and Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan, Museum and Real di Bosco di Capodimonte in Naples, Museo di Palazzo Pretorio of Prato and Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation have already joined the initiative.
